Ferragosto al Museo 2026

On Saturday 15 August 2026, state-run museums, archaeological parks and cultural sites – including castles, abbeys, monumental complexes, villas and gardens – will remain open at the current admission rates. Visits will take place during the usual opening hours and in accordance with the visiting arrangements set by each individual site, including booking where required.

The civic museums and archaeological sites of Roma Capitale will also be open to the public at standard rates and opening times. There is a wide range of options on offer, from the rich permanent collections to the temporary exhibitions hosted at the various museum venues.

There will, however, be a special opening for the Bunker and Air-Raid Shelters at Villa Torlonia, accessible via special guided tours for individuals (10.00 and 17.00) and for groups (15.00 and 16.00). The ‘Ara si rivela’ events will also continue over the mid-August bank holiday weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9.00 pm, 10.00 pm, 11.00 pm) and the immersive tour of the Circus Maximus using augmented and virtual reality (5.00 pm – 8.00 pm, every 15 minutes – last admission at 6.50 pm).
