The Central Institute for Graphics in the seat of Palazzo Poli hosts the evocative exhibition which celebrates the life and talent of the "eternal diva", promoted by the Ministry of Culture with Archivio Luce Cinecittà.
An international film star, photographer, designer, sculptor and singer, Gina Lollobrigida was a true contemporary woman with an incredible creative streak who, in an interview, said: "I would like to be remembered, above all, as an artist and, why not, also as an actress."
Conceived and curated by Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary of the MIC, and by Chiara Sbarigia, President of Cinecittà, I MONDI DI GINA (Gina's Worlds) carries the public away into the eclectic and extraordinary universe of the actress, the muse of great directors and a fashion icon with her unique empire-style dresses.
The exhibition path winds through more than 120 photographs from the Luce Cinecittà Archive, the Experimental Center of Cinematography and the MuFoCo - Museum of Contemporary Photography - and other archives, unpublished private films (courtesy of Andrea Milko Skofic) and public ones. Also on display are 2 original evening dresses made by Gattinoni and 2 stage costumes from the movies "Imperial Venus" and "Beautiful but Dangerous", created by Costumi d'Arte, as well as some jewels by Bulgari, such as the magnificent earrings with emeralds, from the Maison's Historical Archive and part of the diva's collection.
