Roma Pass

In order to facilitate the visit and make your stay enjoyable, from 14 June it is be possible to purchase the Roma Pass (48h and 72h) again, following the usual procedure.

However, the adaptation to the precautionary and containment provisions of Covid-19 has forced museums and archaeological sites to apply some rules depending on the site:

We inform you that the sites with limited spaces and the Experiences that need the AR visor will not be usable at the moment, and that some museums or sites require the use of a face mask.

Your Roma Pass can be collected at the following Tourist InfoPoints:

  • Castel S. Angelo, Piazza Pia (next to the gardens of Castel Sant’Angelo): 8.30am - 18.00pm till 28 March, 9.30am - 7.00pm till 25 October.
  • Ciampino, G. B. Pastine Airport - External area International Arrivals: 8.30am - 6.00pm.
  • Fiumicino, Leonardo Da Vinci Airport - International Arrivals - Terminal T3: 8.30am - 6.00pm.
  • Fori Imperiali, Visitor Center Via dei Fori Imperiali: 9.30am - 7.00pm.
  • Minghetti, Via Marco Minghetti (corner to Via del Corso): 9.30am - 7.00pm.
  • Termini, Termini station - Via Giovanni Giolitti, 34, platform 24: 9.30am - 7.00pm.

Roma Pass gets richer!

Roma Pass 72 hours is the card promoted by Roma Capitale and the Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali, in collaboration with ATAC, which allows you to access the main tourist attractions of the city and to use public transport.

Only euro 52.00:

  • Free admission to the first 2 visited museums and/or archaeological sites and/or experience of your choice. Free admission includes the exhibition held in the museum.
  • Reduced ticket to all other museums and/or archaeological sites and/or experience visited thereafter. The concessionary ticket includes the exhibition held in the museum.
  • Free use of the city’s public transport network for 72h from the first validation on the means of transport. It is valid on all means of local public transport operated by ATAC (bus, metro A, B, B1 and C and railway lines Roma-Lido, Roma Flaminio Piazza del Popolo-Viterbo, Roma-Giardinetti), within the territory of the Municipality of Rome. ATAC Bus line 720 to connect Ciampino Airport to Laurentina Station Metro B and the ATAC Bus line 520 to connect Ciampino Airport from/to the Metro A stations of Subaugusta (bus terminal at the square in front of the Metro stop) and Cinecittà.
  • Discounts and special prices for events, exhibitions and tourist services;
  • Direct access to Capitoline Museums and National Museum of Castel Sant'Angelo
  • For Borghese Gallery and Domus Romane of Palazzo Valentini the booking is required but its fee is included in the Roma Pass
  • Reserved entrance to Colosseum upon online booking and reserved access to Roma Pass holders
  • Experience (Circo Maximo and Caracalla 4D with AR viewer)
  • Free access to toilets services of P.Stop network
  • Valid 72 hours from the first validation for access to museums, archaeological sites, experience and local public transport.

All Tpl ATAC special connections, Trenitalia FL railway lines, Tiburtina/Termini/Fiumicino Airport, Trenitalia “No stop” Roma Termini-Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo Express) and all connections to and from Fiumicino Airport are not included.

The card is not transferable and must be filled in all its fields. Upon request, it must be shown to the ticket inspectors, together with a valid ID. It is valid for 72 hours from the first activation.

At Castel Sant’Angelo and Musei Capitolini you have direct access to the security check point, without waiting in line. We remind you that, due to public order reasons, controls have been intensified and there might be delays.

For info on facilities/free admission for specific age groups or categories of visitors in the Museums and Archaeological Sites managed by the State and the City of Rome, please refer to the local laws regulating the admission in cultural sites.

In the absence of a separate exhibition path and a separate ticket including the spaces where exhibitions or temporary exhibitions are set up, you have free admission on the first Sunday of each month at the state museums and archaeological sites (including the Colosseo).

Please note that most museums are generally closed on Mondays, with the exception of: Colosseo (booking required), Mercati di Traiano, Musei Capitolini, Castel Sant’Angelo, Museo dell’Ara Pacis and Terme di Caracalla. Most museums are closed on December 25, January 1 and May 1. We remind you to check in advance the opening times and days of the museums and/or archaeological sites.

NOTE: The following museums are always free of charge, also without Roma Pass: Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, Museo Carlo Bilotti a Villa Borghese, Museo della Repubblica Romana e della Memoria Garibaldina, Museo delle Mura, Museo di Casal de’ Pazzi, Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, Museo Napoleonico, Museo Pietro Canonica a Villa Borghese, Villa di Massenzio.
