The show, which tells about the fall of Troy, stars Massimo Popolizio, one of the most important actors on the Italian theater scene.
The story of the deception of the immense wooden horse with which the Greeks conquered the city of Troy after ten years of siege, opens the second book of the Aeneid, considered a masterpiece for its tragic strength. In fact, the horse, transported within the city walls, transforms itself into a machine of death and destruction for the Trojans. It is the beginning, for the hero Aeneas, of the escape by sea and the search for a new land, the same escape of millions of people who today undertake long and dangerous journeys across the sea to survive.
The piece is enriched with music by the Iranian musician Pejman Tadayon who plays ancient Persian instruments, while Stefano Saletti uses instruments such as oud and bouzouki to bring out the atmosphere created by the voice of the great actor Massimo Popolizio and singer Barbara Eramo. The languages sung are Ladin, Aramaic, Hebrew and Sabir, an ancient Mediterranean language. The result is a sort of "score" that makes the show a work in itself, different and original.
