Enrico Pieranunzi presents at the Auditorium Piano Solo, a concert in which this extraordinary musician, one of the most eclectic in the European artistic panorama, perfectly combines the language of classical music with that of jazz and blues.
In this concert in particular, Pieranunzi freely ranges from baroque music to that of Gershwin and blues, with the class and elegance that distinguish him, managing to fascinate and capture the audience of listeners, who are increasingly passionate about his art.
Graduated in piano at the Conservatory and become a teacher, Enrico Pieranunzi approaches jazz thanks to his father, guitarist and follower of Django Reinhardt. From the very beginning of his career these two genres strongly affected his style, also influenced by the music of Claude Debussy.
Pieranunzi who is also a composer, arranger, has recorded more than 70 CDs ranging from piano solo to trio, from duo to quintet and collaborating, in concert or in the recording studio, with Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, Chris Potter, Marc Johnson, Joey Baron.
Author of music for film and theater, he is the only Italian musician to have played and recorded several times in the historic "Village Vanguard" in New York and, among the numerous national and international awards, the French Django d'Or (1997 ) as "best European musician", the Echo Award 2014 in Germany as "Best International Piano Player" and the award “A life for jazz” given to him in the same year by the Musica Jazz magazine.
