The Argentina, India, and Torlonia theaters, places steeped in history, are presented through performances led by their actors and actresses. These tours explore the most hidden and fascinating spaces of these three theaters, accompanied by real or plausible historical figures who once inhabited those places.
The Torlonia Theatre, nestled in the heart of the Villa, is one of those hidden places in Rome worth visiting. Built in the mid-19th century by Prince Alessandro Torlonia to celebrate his wedding to Teresa Colonna, it was inhabited first by Princes Alessandro and Teresa, and then by Benito Mussolini. These characters, and many others, played by the actors and actresses of the Teatro di Roma, accompany us in the discovery of its secrets. Thanks to them, we can enter the most hidden rooms of the palace and the private lives of the people who lived there; we can also visit the apartments and the theatre hall, finely decorated by Costantino Brumidi (1805-1880). The artist, an Italian of Greek origin, after creating his masterpieces in Rome, emigrated to the United States and decorated the American Parliament, a work that earned him the nickname "the Michelangelo of America”.
The “The theatre of Love and Power" tours are led by Roberto Scarpetti; the rotating cast includes Francesca Astrei, Antonio Bannò, Gloria Gulino, Michele Lisi, Sylvia Milton, Alice Palazzi, Lorenzo Parrotto, Martina Tinnirello, Giulia Trippetta, and Diego Valentino Venditti.
