22 February is the fourth eco-friendly Sunday of the 2025-2026 winter season, the second of 2026.
The ban on private vehicles on Sunday 22 February will be in force, as always, at two times of the day. The detailed timetable, also taking into account the Roma-Cremonese match in the evening (from 8.45 p.m.) at the Stadio Olimpico, will be defined and set in the coming days in a specific order issued by the Mayor.
There will be exemptions for, for example, hybrid and electric vehicles, LPG or methane vehicles (Euro 3 and above), Euro 6 petrol cars, Euro 2 and above 4-stroke mopeds and Euro 3 and above 4-stroke motorcycles.
Vehicles serving people with disabilities and car-sharing fleets will also be exempt.
The day of 22 February is dedicated to urban trekking. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., new itineraries will cross different municipalities, with themed urban routes combining environment, history and socialising. New paths set out to discover a different city, a return to a slower pace, an invitation to stop and appreciate our surroundings, a concrete tool for civic participation.
These are the four routes:
- Sulle tracce della transumanza – Da Cornelia a Ostiense (On the trail of transhumance – From Cornelia to Ostiense)
- Fiumi di Roma – I parchi d’affaccio dall’Aniene al Tevere (Rivers of Rome – Parks overlooking the Aniene and Tiber rivers)
- Le Borgate ribelli – Da Ostiense al Quadraro (The rebellious suburbs – From Ostiense to Quadraro)
- Verde e Street Art tra le due sponde del fiume – Da Ostiense a San Paolo (Greenery and Street Art between the Two Banks of the River – From Ostiense to San Paolo)
The detailed programme can be found on the page dedicated to 22 February on the website: www.sabatoblu.roma.it
