With the patronage of CONI, Sport e Salute, Roma Capitale - Department of Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion, and the Lazio Region, Atleticom ASD organizes the traditional road running race on the last day of the year, which celebrates its 14th edition this year.
As in previous years, the event includes a competitive 10 km race and two non-competitive races over distances of 10 and 5 km, starting and finishing at the Baths of Caracalla. The route, one of the most picturesque in the world, winds its way through Rome’s most iconic landmarks: the Circus Maximus, the Theatre of Marcellus, Piazza Venezia, Via del Corso, Via del Tritone, Piazza di Spagna, Via del Babuino, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini, Via del Tritone, Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Colosseum.
The competitive race is held under the auspices of FIDAL and is included in the Italian national calendar. The start of the 10 km race (competitive and non-competitive) will be in Via delle Terme di Caracalla at 2 p.m.; a few minutes later, the non-competitive 5 km race will start, open to everyone without age restrictions. Registration is open online at www.werunrome.com until 29 December.
From 10 a.m., the We Run Rom village will be open in the area adjacent to the Nando Martellini Stadium, with stands run by the event’s partners and food trucks.
