November 30th Program:
15.00 - Introductory Reflection by Isa Maggie di Stefano Motta. A moment of reflection on the meaning of the Jubilee of Hope. It is an opportunity to draw on the richness of Italian literature, with selected readings aimed at promoting an education in affections and respect, a topic more pertinent than ever in today's context.
16.00 - Musical Intervention. A musical moment focused on the theme of Nessun Dorma. Ave Maria by Giulio Caccini. A reverent homage to the Mother, the quintessential female figure who embodies the Mystery of life. Ave Verum Corpus, K. 618, a motet by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It symbolizes the Mystery that becomes man through the birth of a woman, Our Mother, and becomes Eucharist in Christ, the Son of His Daughter. Panis Angelicus by César Franck. The Bread of Angels is transformed into an instrument of redemption on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, thanks to Mary's yes. O, Divine Redeemer! Prayer by Ch. Gounod. An expression of humanity's possibility of repentance and redemption, made possible by Mary's yes to the Incarnation and the subsequent Redemption through the intercession of Christ's Sacrifice. Lacrimosa from W. A. Mozart's Requiem. A moment of lofty elegy, deeply dedicated to the memory of all murder victims throughout the world and throughout history. Nessun Dorma from Giacomo Puccini's Turandot. For the first time, a traditionally male piece is performed by a female voice.
The program culminates with Holy Mass at 18.00.
