Internazionali di Tennis BNL d'Italia - Rome 2024

History on the court: Piazza del Popolo protagonist of great tennis

From 30 April to 4 May, for the first time ever, Piazza del Popolo hosts a red clay court built to allow the women's and men's pre-qualification and the match-show par excellence to be held in which Jannik Sinner or Matteo Berrettini will perform. Whether the two Italian champions will tread the red clay of the iconic square will only be known a couple of days before the event. On the Piazza del Popolo court, children from various tennis schools can also compete and enjoy an unforgettable experience. Moreover, you will be able to watch the training sessions of some of the players involved in the tournament.

The Rome Internazionali BNL 2024: all you need to know

Part of the ATP Masters 1000 Circuit and the WTA 1000 Circuit, the Internazionali BNL di Roma is Italy's most important men's and women's tennis event. Hosting the 81st edition of the prestigious tournament are, as usual, the clay courts of the monumental Foro Italico Complex. Since last year, the tournament has undergone a restyling and has been transformed into a 'mini Slam' to offer, to the thousands of fans that crowd the Foro Italico Park every year, an even more intense and richer spectacle where all the most acclaimed protagonists of the international circuit can be admired. The scoreboard, for example, has welcomed almost double the number of players and players and the days of competition have increased from eight to twelve as for the ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid and Shanghai, and as is already the case for the Miami Open and Indian Wells tournaments.
