The park of Villa Borghese occupies a vast area in the heart of the city.

One of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the Roman countryside can be found between the second and third mile on the Via Appia Antica.

A Pamphilj family's country residence, Villa Doria Pamphilj took on the aspect of a sumptuous noble country residence under pope Innocent X (1644-1655).

Initially property of the Pamphilj family, Villa Torlonia was one of the numerous agricultural estates, lush with orchards, vines, and reeds, along Via Nomentana.
