A multisensorial and a multimedial exhibition, Ipotesi Metaverso is a real immersion in the mind of the creators of worlds, between Europe, Asia, the United States, South America, and the Middle East, from the Baroque to today.
The 19th-century rooms of Palazzo Cipolla, historic building and prominent exhibition space in via del Corso, host the works of extraordinary artists, including Andrea Pozzo, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Maurits Cornelis Escher, Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, and Giorgio de Chirico, flanked by the artistic productions of some of the most innovative digital developers of the Italian and international contemporary scene.
Pioneers of the movement linked to digital native art, meta-poets and musicians, the creatives on display are the key figures of the new multimedia and multisensory artistic movement. Passing through avatars, born and raised in the Metaverse, they have made experimentation with generative algorithms their hallmark and the object of their artistic research.
Ipotesi Metaverso transforms every space of Palazzo Cipolla into a physical and mental journey: capsules that lead the viewers to immerse themselves in worlds and visions through painting, sculpture, digital art, dance, poetry, music, and artificial intelligence.
Each digital work is conceived as a site-specific project linked to the Palazzo space and in harmony with the rest of the exhibition itinerary.
The exhibit offers a series of multisensory and multimedia experiences, visions of possible worlds created by the genius of artists in dialogue with the works of past painters who have imagined other "realities."
A digital/immersive, physical and "material" experience, the works thus short-circuit and stimulate the visitor to question the perceptual methods of today and the future.
