Accademia Italiana di Arte Moda Design is a non-state institution founded in 1984, based in Florence and since 2002 in Rome. Authorized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, it offers courses in Design, Fashion, Jewelry and Photography, focusing teaching on practice developed in workshops and giving students the opportunity to collaborate with a vast network of companies.
Since 2020, Accademia Italiana has been part of the AD Education Group, a leading group in higher education in the fields of creativity, fashion, design, graphic arts, culture, digital, communication and luxury, with offices in France, Germany, Spain and Italy, a new European dimension that opens new perspectives for cultural and academic exchanges for students as well.
In the area of fashion, the educational offerings include three-year courses in Fashion Design and Jewelry Design, at the end of which students will get a Level I Academic Diploma; two-year specialized courses in Contemporary Jewelry Design, Fashion and Textile Design and Fashion Design and Management, at the end of which students get a Level II Academic Diploma Level II (a Master of Arts degree); one-year courses in Fashion Design and Contemporary Jewelry Design; professional courses in Styling; and summer courses in Fashion Design and Figurino.
Accademia Italiana’s Roman headquarters is in the Marconi district, a dynamic and creative post-industrial urban area. For the fashion and jewelry design department, students have at their disposal tailoring and patternmaking workshops, a fabric archive and goldsmith workshops. Awards won by the academy include first prize in the Sustainable Fashion Talent Challenge, organized by the Lazio Region and Lazio Innova, and first prize in the XXXII National Competition Professione Moda Giovani Stilisti for the jewelry category.
