The historic series of meetings Luce sull'Archeologia 2027 (Light on Archaeology 2027), dedicated to history, art, and archaeology, scheduled from January 24 to April 4, 2027 at the Argentina Theatre, is presented as a free preview this year on November 8, at 11:00 a.m., also at the Argentina Theatre.
The event, now in its 13th edition and titled "Voices of Extraordinary Women. The Role of Women in the History and Culture of Rome", focuses on the role of women in Roman history and culture. The image of a young girl arranging her hair, a detail from the famous fresco in the Villa of the Mysteries in Pompeii, was chosen in fact as the emblem of the event's poster.
With the help of scholars and expert guests, the series of meetings offers a journey through the Roman world to tell its story through the voices of female figures who, often in the shadows or against the rules of their time, profoundly influenced the power, culture, and life of the city.
Admission to the preview on November 8th is free, subject to availability.
