This year, for the first time, the Gabii Archaeological Park hosts the 2026 edition of Fortuna in Musica (Fortune in Music), the festival born from a deep connection with the Sanctuary of Fortuna Primigenia in Palestrina, creating an ideal union between two wonderful sites of ancient Lazio that, sharing a thousand-year history and an exceptionally valuable cultural heritage, are managed by the Museums and Archaeological Parks of Praeneste and Gabii, an autonomous institute of the Ministry of Culture.
The Park opens to the public through the creation of an evocative Country Theatre, a structure specifically designed for live performances in harmony with the landscape, history, and archaeological memory of the site, hosting a musical festival. The Country Theatre thus becomes the festival's new defining feature: an ephemeral yet highly evocative space, contemporary yet crafted from traditional materials, allowing audiences to enjoy a unique experience within a captivating setting where music, archaeology, and landscape intertwine in a shared narrative.
The Festival thus continues its original mission: to enhance heritage through the universal language of music, creating new ways to enjoy cultural sites and restoring a vibrant and welcoming dimension to archaeological sites.
