
An orange wind alert has been issued for Thursday, 19 February 2026. From the morning onwards, and for the following 18 hours, strong winds are expected from the south, subsequently veering west, with storm-force gusts in coastal areas and gusts reaching gale force or storm force along the Apennine ridge. Heavy sea swells along exposed coasts.
Following the Order of the Mayor of Roma Capitale No. 26 of 18 February 2026, please be advised that all sites located within Green Areas, Gardens, Parks and Historic Villas will be closed to the public.
In implementation of the emergency protocol, the closure particularly concerns the following venues:
- Museums of Villa Torlonia
- Technotown
- Museums of Villa Borghese (Canonica and Bilotti)
- Casina di Raffaello Children’s Play Centre
- Sacred Area of Largo Argentina
- Archaeological Area of Circus Maximus
- Celio Archaeological Park
- Sites across the municipal area
In addition, the garden beneath the Torre delle Milizie at the Trajan’s Markets, the Caffarelli Garden at the Capitoline Museums, and the courtyard of the Museum of Roma in Trastevere will also be closed.

Tourist Infopoints: Piazza Pia, San Paolo.
