Ludovico Einaudi is the protagonist of seven events that are included in the program of the Roma Summer Fest at the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone on June 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18. The dates, which are part of the great musician’s world tour entitled The Summer Portraits Tour, are certainly among the most anticipated by the public.
The first part of the tour, in non-European countries such as Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Japan and with concerts in Europe (and beyond) in Holland, Germany, Switzerland and France was a great success, often sold out; the tour then continues in Europe and America. The concerts focus on the latest album, The Summer Portraits from 2025, the seventeenth of the pianist and composer's career, along with others from his vast repertoire loved and known by audiences at an international level. On stage Einaudi is accompanied by Federico Mecozzi (violin), Redi Hasa (cello), Francesco Arcuri (percussion), Alberto Fabris (bass), Gianluca Mancini (keyboards), Rocco Nigro (accordion) and the Rimini Classica string ensemble.
Ludovico Einaudi, born in Turin in 1955, graduated in composition at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan, and perfected his skills under the guidance of Luciano Berio. Towards the end of the 1980s he went through a period of experimentation and research, during which he began to collaborate with theatre and dance. In the 2000s he published a series of solo albums for piano and orchestra; among his most important compositions, we remember: I giorni (The days) in 2001, Nightbook in 2009, In a Time Lapse in 2013 and Underwater in 2022.
