After last season's huge success, the charismatic Roman showman returns to the stage of the Teatro Sistina from 3 October to 23 November with Luigi Magni's famous 1989 musical legend, set to music by Nicola Piovani.
I 7 Re di Roma (The seven Kings of Rome), which inaugurates the historical theatre's 2025-2026 season, is a great classic by Garinei and Giovannini, featuring Enrico Brignano reinterpreting it in a version that combines tradition and the present time.
Between myth and reality, Brignano brings the seven kings of the Eternal City back to life, among extraordinary disguises, songs, dances, and well-known or unusual events, accompanied by a young and talented company and Simone Mori, who, as god and narrator, plays the role of Janus.
In a thrilling journey through the history of Rome, the artist performs an irresistible narration that shows how the human essence remains unchanged despite the passage of time, continuing to aspire, over the centuries, to the ideal of freedom that makes life meaningful.
Born in 1966, the actor, director and screenwriter graduated from Gigi Proietti's Scenic Exercises Laboratory and was one of the favourite students of the unforgettable performer, whom he joined in some theatrical successes such as A me gli occhi bis (1994 ), Per amore e per diletto (1995) and Mezzefigure (1996-97). The versatile showman achieved great public success in 1998 as the clumsy Giacinto with the Rai TV series Un medico in famiglia, the beginning of an unstoppable and extraordinary career.
