The exhibition-event celebrates the great Italian singer-songwriter in his extraordinary artistic and human journey, on the tenth anniversary of his death.
The exhibition stems from a long search for materials, many of which are exhibited for the first time, which document the whole journey of the Emilian artist from childhood to maturity. What emerges is a figure of a singer of life in all its different aspects who, thanks also to irony and his poetic gaze, has been able to conquer the vast public. The exhibition also highlights the multiple interests of the artist, not only a musician but also an actor, writer, theater director, sports lover and enthusiast of engines, dance, opera, painting and literature.
The exhibition is divided in more than ten sections: Family-Childhood-Friendships-Musical beginnings, Dalla is told, The clarinet, The Lucio Dalla museum, his music, cinema, theater, television, Universo Dalla, Dalla and Roversi, From and Rome; this last section, unpublished, is dedicated to the relationship between the singer and the capital, the city where he lived for a long time and which he loved very much.
Through documents, photos, record covers, videos, objects, stage clothes, posters of the films in which he participated, posters, the collection of hats and caps, it is possible to discover even the most private aspects of this singer, so as to have a more complete picture.
A corollary of the exhibition, a catalog published by Skira which contains history, images and also a long list of testimonies that help to understand his character as a multifaceted artist.
