A narrative brought to life by images, music and storytelling, weaving together history and wonder, past and present, cultural heritage and innovation. For the second year running, a unique immersive journey will illuminate the rear façade of the Galleria Borghese until 8 August, transforming it into a living, dynamic screen to pay tribute to this extraordinary venue and the masterpieces it houses.
On Friday and Saturday evenings, starting at 9.15 pm (with performances at 9.45 pm and 10.15 pm), an artistic projection will immerse viewers in the museum’s history, from its origins in the 17th century – when Cardinal Scipione Borghese purchased the land outside the city walls – to the creation of the villa as the home of an unparalleled collection. A contemporary visual language will bring to light centuries of art, projects, visions and transformations that have made this place a cultural icon admired worldwide.
Images, accompanied by an original soundtrack and evocative narration, will guide visitors through an engaging journey, balancing intimacy and grandeur and offering a new perspective on the Galleria. In the Villa Borghese gardens, a specially designed setup will allow audiences to enjoy the show comfortably seated, immersed in a unique atmosphere.
On show days, the museum will remain open until 11.00 pm. Visitors can attend the show by purchasing a dedicated ticket or by combining the experience with a museum visit. The show is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, and Italian Sign Language (LIS).
