Even in 2026, those who work in the catering and tourism sector can benefit from the bonus linked to overtime and night work. In fact, until 30 September 2026, the tourism bonus is accessible again: the 15% supplementary treatment is obtained in the pay slip after submitting an application to the employer. The latest approved Maneuver confirmed the measure introduced in recent years to facilitate workers who work in bars, restaurants and accommodation facilities.
In the 2026 budget law (L. 199 2025), published on 30 December 2025 in the Official Journal, there is therefore an extension of the measure also in 2026. In the text, the applicability for the period from 1 January to 30 September 2026 is confirmed, always in favor of private sector employees holding an employment income of an amount not exceeding, in the 2025 tax period, 40,000 euros.
The main objective is to support employment stability and address the shortage of labor in the tourism, hospitality and spa sectors by extending the period to include the summer months, during which the demand for personnel in tourism is particularly high.
