This curiosity leads us back in time, exactly in 1680, when the Marquis Massimiliano Palombara, refined man of letters, famous in Rome as passionate about occultism and esotericism, made engraved on one of the doors of his house the magical "recipe" of lead transformation into gold, that one of his hosts and student left making lose his tracks.
Today there is only this port of the villa of the Marquis, set into a wall in the gardens of Piazza Vittorio, flanked by two statues of the god Bes found in the excavations of the Quirinale in 1888.
In the meantime, the writing has not yet been resolved and the lead remains... lead!
