Mine vaganti, Ferzan Özpetek's 2010 film, a great box office and critical success, winner of two David, five Silver Ribbons and four Golden Globes, arrives for the first time at the Ambra Jovinelli theater with an adaptation by the director himself.
The theatrical text, which takes up the plot of the film, tells about the difficulties of the young protagonist of communicating his sexual orientation to his family of origin.
In fact, Tommaso, who has lived in Rome for many years, returns to the large family home in Puglia, to confess to the relatives that he is actually a homosexual with literary ambitions, and not a good economics student as they think.
But his revelation is unexpectedly anticipated by the shocking unveiling of his brother Antonio who, after confessing his homosexuality, is kicked out of the house by relatives. Tommaso is therefore forced, against all his expectations, to stay in Lecce to run the family business and fight against a world closed in its traditions.
Thanks to the excellent performers, the piece fully gives us back all the irony and grace of the great director's cinematographic masterpiece.
The scheduling could be modified or canceled. We recommend checking the theater website and / or facebook page
