This rereading of the Greek myth is staged at the India Theater directed by Giuseppe Dipasquale, who has managed to give us, in a contemporary key, the figure of the queen of Mycenae Clytemnestra, murderer of her husband Agamemnon, who awaits the moment of revenge with great patience and firmness for a long time.
The common thread that connects the myth to the contemporary is the tragic monologue which shapes the words of Clytemnestra becoming a song of pain of a mother who has suffered the tragedy of the killing of her daughter Iphigenia at the hands of Agamemnon, the ambitious sovereign father of Argon. Thus in the play the condemnation for the murder of Agamemnon by the queen, forced to wander in eternal nothingness to atone for her guilt, is connected to the idea of a murder that is unacceptable for modern Western patriarchy.
Playing the character of Clytemnestra we find Viola Graziosi, a very talented interpreter, protagonist of classic and contemporary theater shows, awarded as Actress of Europe 2020 with Ofelia Suite, directed by director Giuseppe Dipasquale.
