The shopping streets

Le vie dello shopping

The Trident is the essential stop for lovers of luxury and high fashion, a Roman temple of style, and an area from which the streets of the most exclusive Italian and international brands branch off. Other than in the famous Piazza di Spagna and in the adjacent Piazza Mignanelli, the heart of luxury extends to the neighboring streets. Via dei Condotti, full of exquisite boutiques of the most fashionable brands, Via Borgognona, Via della Vite, Via Frattina, Via delle Carrozze, Via Vittoria, and Via del Babuino, where creativity and beauty can be admired in the splendid ateliers.

The streets of the historic center are the ideal place to let yourself be carried away by the elegant creations of the star designers! The most demanding can not fail to take advantage of the sparkling proposals of well-known jewelers which, between glamorous shapes and precious stones, create unique details for an unmistakable style.

The real pulsating artery of Roman shopping is Via del Corso, the street where you can find everything, for all budgets and for all tastes: two kilometers of shops, an open-air shopping center, from the big names or big single-brand stores, to the cheapest store. In the middle of Via del Corso, there is the historic Galleria Alberto Sordi with its refined and unmistakable Art Nouveau architecture. Next to it, there is Via del Tritone, where there is no shortage of ideas for classy purchases. Along the street, the department store La Rinascente, with its 8 floors and 14,000 square meters, has 800 brands, including the great brands of fashion, design, jewelry, and cosmetics.

Its terrace, overlooking the rooftops of Rome, offers you the opportunity to take a relaxing break enjoying a panorama of extraordinary beauty. On the -1 floor, you can admire the remains of the Virgin Aqueduct, inaugurated by Emperor Augustus in 19 BC, which feeds almost all the magnificent fountains in the center, including the Trevi Fountain. Not far away are the elegant Via Nazionale and, for those who love ethnicity, craftsmanship, vintage, and the creations of young designers, Rione Monti, Via del Boschetto, Via degli Zingari, and Via dei Serpenti.

Not far from Largo Argentina and Piazza Venezia, the characteristic area of Campo de' Fiori, with Via dei Giubbonari and Via del Governo Vecchio is famous above all for second-hand items, offers economic alternatives to high fashion purchases. Crossing the beautiful Sixtus Bridge, in the Rione Trastevere, you can find attractive shops offering brands of emerging artists, as well as vintage fashion for men, women, and children. Near the Vatican, the Rione Prati and its shopping streets such as Via Candia, Via Ottaviano, and Via Cola di Rienzo represent another stop for those who want to take advantage of Made in Italy shopping.

Moving from the historic center and arriving near the Cathedral of Rome, the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, you can dive into the wildest purchases in the Coin store and in the hundreds of shops on Via Appia Nuova. Not far away is the popular Via Tuscolana, whose offer is varied and suitable for all ages and budgets.

In the southern quadrant of the capital is Viale Marconi, with its numerous commercial activities. Not far away, in the modern EUR district, an area of fine museums and the Nuvola by Fuksas, is Viale Europa. Here, between an elegant purchase and another, you can relax by eating ice cream or drinking a steaming hot chocolate on the edge of the nearby lake.
