Night of Museums in Rome: the call for projects selection is online

from 21 March 2023 to 14 April 2023

A long after-hours event among timeless masterpieces: on Saturday, 13 May, in conjunction with the Nuit Européenne des Musées, the city is getting ready to go into the wee hours with the new edition of the Night of Museums, the historic initiative promoted by Roma Culture, Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali with the organization of Zètema Progetto Cultura.

The event, now in its 13th edition in the city, proposes the extraordinary late opening to the public of the spaces of the Sistema Musei di Roma Capitale, in the evening hours, from 8 pm to 2 am (last entry at 1 am), and with an entrance ticket at the symbolic cost of one euro. Museums involved include, of course, the Capitoline Museums, the Centrale Montemartini museum, the Trajan’s Markets, the Ara Pacis Museum, the Museum of Rome at Palazzo Braschi and in Trastevere, and the Villa Torlonia Museums, but also small and precious museums off the more classic tourist routes.

A rich program of free performances of live music, theatre and dance will be held within them. These are going to be selected through a call for proposals published on Zètema Progetto Cultura’s website. Entities, associations, companies and anyone who meets the requirements specified in the call for proposals can submit projects by 14 April 2023 (at noon).
