Rome returns to being a crossroads of cultures, languages, and communities with MULTI 2026, the festival that, from September 24 to 27, 2026, animates the Gardens of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, transforming them into an open space for encounter, discussion, and participation. A festival thus promoting culture as a tool for inclusion, dialogue, and the construction of new forms of citizenship.
The event, now in its third year, transforms the capital's most multicultural square for four days, hosting a wide-ranging program of meetings, shows, workshops, presentations, performances, music, and public discussions that explore the complexity of contemporary Rome through the voices of its diverse communities. A space for shared citizenship, therefore, with over 30 communities, 150 speakers from various countries, over 80 free events, and 12 concerts and dance performances. Food, with its traditions and meanings, is one of the festival's languages, along with literature, the arts, and civic reflection, to construct a shared narrative of coexistence.
The festival thus represents, through words and flavors, the most authentic soul of the global communities present in the Capital and can be considered an ideal bridge between Rome and the world.
The project, promoted by Rome Capital – Department of Culture, won the public notice Creative Rome 365. Culture all year round in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.
