The combination of fashion and great wines is the protagonist of the 5th edition of the autumn event taking place in Rome's historic centre symbolic streets.
Via Condotti, Piazza di Spagna, Via Borgognona and Via Bocca di Leone are the evocative set where over 50 brands and as many wineries give life to a rich program. The event ranges from shopping to tastings, from shopping assistant services to meetings between professionals. The festive atmosphere in the name of luxury and wine production excellence involves some of the most spectacular five-star hotels and most renowned restaurants in Rome.
On the morning of 19 October, at Palazzo Ferrajoli in Piazza Colonna 355, the Re-Start Forum focuses on new players and investment prospects in a city destined to change in the next ten years. Following, the Wine Tasting is dedicated to the DOC wines of Lazio, with the presence of about 30 wineries among the most prestigious of the reference wine sector.
On 20 October, the “vernissage” of the event takes place: the Gala Cocktail in the courtyards of Palazzo della Porta Negroni Caffarelli, which tributes the “seventh art” on the occasion of Rome Film Fest. The evening of the 21st is the "Giovedì della Vendemmia" (Thursday of Harvest), the heart of the festival with tastings at the boutiques. The Spanish Steps lights up in red, and the shops, open extraordinarily, offer cocktail tastings and shopping experiences by invitation.
On 22 and 23 October, the boutiques offer VIP cardholders some special services, including a welcome toast, a dedicated Sales Assistant, the delivery of purchases to their address and the extraordinary opening exclusively on request. Friday 22 October, grand finale at Palazzo Ferrajoli, with the Wine Tasting dedicated to the Gran Cru d’Italia Committee, historic winemaking partner of the Vendemmia, with tastings of the 50 most prestigious wineries of the Italian scene.
The WWF is the Charity Partner of the event, which, sensitive to the issues of planet sustainability, places the Macchiagrande Reserve at the centre of the project. The site, 280 hectares of land within the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Coast, is characterized by the Mediterranean scrub behind the dunes and a Mediterranean wood among the most beautiful and preserved of the Lazio coast.
