La Notte delle Idee

The new edition of the Notte delle Idee (Night of Ideas), promoted by the French Embassy in Italy and the Institut Français Italia, is back in Rome at Palazzo Farnese.

An evening of debates, round tables, projections and installations that represents a unique opportunity to discover, in the name of free discussion, the four different levels of one of the most beautiful 16th-century palaces in Rome, home of the French Embassy in Italy and the École française de Rome.

With the title "Climate Challenges. It's time to change", the event was born to face various issues related to the ecological transition and discuss possible solutions. The extraordinary initiative includes the participation of academics, experts, managers, activists, students, and artists to share reflections, actions and commitments between Italy and France through moments of exchange with the public and interviews in different spaces of the Palace.

The ecological transition requires reflection, innovation, and decisions, as well as new, more sensitive approaches through literature, the relationship to landscape, cultural heritage and the arts. Throughout the evening, in situ art installations, both visual and sound, present prototypes and ongoing research.

For one night, the spaces of Palazzo Farnese, from the basement to the Library, from the historical-artistic Galleries to the gardens, host an unprecedented and original dialogue between Italy and France, between the past and the future, to highlight the changes of our times.
