From 20 February to 8 March, the Teatro Sistina presents the original and touching musical dedicated to the story of Andrea Spezzacatena, the 15-year-old boy who took his own life because of bullying and cyberbullying.
From the book by Teresa Manes, Andrea's mother, to the blockbuster film by Eagle Pictures and Weekend Films, to the musical: Il ragazzo dai pantaloni rosa (The Boy with Pink Trousers) tackles a very important social issue with sensitivity and strength, inviting the audience to deep reflection. The show is a narration that unites generations and touches people's hearts, giving voice, through art, beauty and music, to a real story and a message of awareness, trust and hope, with “the pink trousers” that have become a symbol of the fight against bullying and cyberbullying.
On stage is a cast of extraordinary artists – Samuele Carrino and Sara Ciocca (stars of the film of the same name) and Rossella Brescia (Andrea's mother) – directed by Massimo Romeo Piparo, who also adapted the musical together with the film's screenwriter Roberto Proia, accompanied by an evocative soundtrack, which includes the intense and delicate song Canta ancora by Arisa.
