
For the first time, the square in front of the Costanzi Theatre is transformed into a cinema arena under the stars for four evenings with the screening of masterpieces of melodrama and dance, with free admission; another proposal from the Rome Opera House together with the traditional stage of the Baths of Caracalla.
There are five films screened in the Cinema Opera review: the Barber of Seville, the Traviata and the Bohéme directed by Mario Martone, the Sound of Beauty with Rosa Feola and Eleonora Abbagnato who perform among the works of the Galleria Borghese, the Nuit Romaine directed by Angelin Preljocaj with costumes by Maria Grazia Chiuri of the Maison Dior and set in Palazzo Farnese, the three films-opera and the Sound of Beauty were made in collaboration with Rai Cultura during the period in which the theater was closed due to the pandemic.
A series of unusual appointments therefore with art and culture, which allow citizens and non-citizens to enjoy some of the most beautiful musical pages ever written.
