The show at the Teatro Argentina brings to the stage a collection of Christmas stories, directed and adapted by Roberto Gandin. On stage, five actresses and actors from La Piccola Compagnia of the Piero Gabrielli Theater Laboratory read the stories of Gianni Rodari - Laboratorio Gabrielli's favorite author - we find an unpublished text by Bernard Friot entitled Santa Claus.com and a story by Andrea Valente A strange letter to Santa Claus. Live music and Christmas songs accompany the reading of the stories.
The actors also improvise with the audience, inventing different stories together with the children every day, following the formulas of Rodari's Grammar of Fantasy
. And so fairy tales are born like that of the Befana who no longer flies because she ran out of fuel on her broom or that of the New Year who is unable to take service because the old one has disappeared.
The show therefore represents a special opportunity to bring together adults and children together at the theater.
With Francesca Astrei, Teresa Campus, Gabriele Ortenzi, Fabio Piperno, Danilo Turnaturi; Music by Roberto Gori and Flavio Cangialosi.
A Teatro di Roma production - National Theater and Piero Gabrielli Integrated Theater Laboratory.
