One of the greatest American songwriters of all time returns to the stage of the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica, accompanied by The Innocent Criminals, as part of the Rome Summer Fest 2022.
Rolling Stone called Ben Harper's songs '"unique and tender rock'n'roll jewellery'", Billboard wrote that his music "reminds us of the power and beauty of simplicity", and Entertainment Weekly praised "its depth".
Born in 1969 in Pomona, California, Harper made his debut in 1984 with Welcome to the Cruel World, followed by numerous other successes, including Fight For Your Mind, The Will to Live, Burn to Shine, Diamonds on the Inside, Lifeline (nominated for a Grammy), and Call It What It Is.
These projects have seen the collaboration with The Innocent Criminals, the band that has accompanied live him for years. The group is made up of extraordinary musicians - characterized by the diversity of musical genres - who collaborated with artists such as Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Stevie Wonder Rakim, De La Soul, Talib Kwali, Mos Def throughout their careers.
