On 29 June, the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone hosts the famous American singer-songwriter, who returns to the stage of the Cavea with The Innocent Criminals as part of Rock in Roma 2026.
A charismatic artist with a magical touch on the guitar and an intimate voice, Ben Harper is one of the most intense and versatile songwriters on the international music scene: his music goes beyond any single genre, masterfully blending pop, blues, soul, reggae, funk, and folk, exploring themes such as love, politics, social and personal issues.
Born in 1969 in Pomona, California, the musician made his debut in 1984 with Welcome to the Cruel World, followed by several highly successful albums, including Fight For Your Mind, The Will to Live, Burn to Shine, Diamonds on the Inside, There Will Be a light, Both Sides of the Gun, Lifeline, Call It What It Is. An extraordinary career with which he has conquered international audiences, selling over sixteen million records and receiving three Grammy Awards.
For years, Harper has been joined by The Innocent Criminals, the legendary band that accompanies him around the world: exceptionally talented musicians who bring together very different sounds, styles and musical genres, and who boast collaborations with great artists such as Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Rakim, De La Soul, Talib Kweli and Mos Def.
