A great novelty that, from 5 December, will allow the inhabitants and university students of Rome and the Metropolitan City to purchase and manage the Card online through the new site, with a simple and intuitive look, miccard.roma.it and the MIC card app.
Adult users residing or domiciled in Rome or the Metropolitan City of Rome and students of Roman universities will be able to purchase the MIC Card also through the new digitization service for easier use and faster access to the numerous museums in the Rome area.
Launched in 2018, the MIC Card achieves a fundamental step. After four years, and despite the closures due to the pandemic, as of 30 September 2022, it has reached 280,000 units.
The new digitization system also uses a new Web application dedicated to operators for faster and more effective execution of Card sales procedures (physical, digital, and Gift).
Users will therefore have the opportunity to manage their Cards with total autonomy, with the possibility of accessing the history of use, checking the expiry date, and other related functions.
The digital MIC Card can be purchased online, at museum ticket offices, and Tourist Infopoints.
Holders will also be able to obtain the entrance ticket in advance on the dedicated platform accessible from the website and the app by going directly to the access control without queues or going to the ticket office.
The sale of the MiC Card is suspended from 28 November to 5 December to enable the introduction of the new system.
