The refined artist arrives at the Casa del Jazz for a suggestive double live as part of her JONI Tour, from the homonymous new album dedicated to the Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell.
Like Rossana Casale's previous works, the project is an elegant homage "in jazz" to the extraordinary folk-rock poet, who represented her first guide, listening and inspiration. Energy, arpeggios, forte-piano sounds: the concert follows the common thread of the album, creating emotions and new jazz dynamics in constant contact with the audience.
On stage, the singer is accompanied by her historic band, made up of Emiliano Begni (piano), Francesco Consaga (soprano sax and transverse flute), Ermanno Dodaro (double bass), Gino Cardamone.
Born in New York, Casale is an actress, author, and singing teacher: a unique and sweet voice and an elegant style, she boasts a long and extraordinary solo career, with eighteen albums to her credit and tours in the most prestigious festivals, jazz clubs and Italian theatres.
