Mario Brunello presents the Bach IV Project at the Auditorium Parco della Musica; twelve Bach masterpieces played and explained by the great cellist, to make them more accessible to the public: the Concert Suite n. 1 in G major for cello BWV 1007, the Suite no. 3 in C major for cello BWV 1009, the Sonata no. 3 in C major for violin BWV 1005. Thanks to this project, now in its fourth edition, the great musician also makes us rediscover the "small cello", a four-stringed instrument typical of the seventeenth century.
Mario Brunello, who graduated in cello from the Venice Conservatory, as well as being a refined cellist with an informal style, and the first European to win the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1986, has made himself known to the general public for his strong commitment to spreading the cultured music, also for his collaborations with jazz musicians and songwriters such as Uri Caine and Vinicio Capossela.
