Green light for trade fairs and congresses with the new government provisions

Fiera Roma
depuis 24 Août 2020 à 31 Octobre 2020

With the new provisions of the decree of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, one of the crucial sectors in the Italian economy, characterized by strong expansion, is starting up again. In the international ranking of MICE tourism, acronym for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions, according to ENIT data, Italy was, in the period prior to the health emergency, among the top six countries in the world, with 550 international meetings and a 5.4% growth compared to 2018.

Thus, starting from September, fairs, meetings and congresses can be held again, subject to the application of rigorous health protocols to respect social distancing and to avoid gatherings. In trade fair tourism, Rome is, together with Milan, among the most active Italian cities: despite the inevitable postponements and cancellations, the first events scheduled at Fiera Roma, one of the major exhibition centers in Europe, include Comunikart, a salon dedicated to all operators in the world of communication, and Abilmente, the fair dedicated to creative manual skills. The following months will see the return of some major events: the third edition of RO.ME Museum Exhibition, followed by NSE - New Space Economy European Expoforum and Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition, the largest European event on innovation.
