The traditional historical and art event organized by the Cento Pittori Via Margutta Association, returns from October 30th to November 2nd. This year's theme is Gigi Proietti and his colors of Rome. The event, now in its 124th edition, pays homage to the Roman actor, author, director, and poet, who captured the soul of this city with wit, depth, and passion. Thanks to the artists of Via Margutta, through their colors, brushes, and canvases, the charismatic figure of Proietti returns to the streets where he was born and raised, becoming a tribute of art, memory, and emotion.

The event opens on October 30th at 4:00 PM in the presence of Sagitta Alter, Gigi Proietti's wife, and his daughter Susanna Proietti, as well as Federico Mollicone, President of the Chamber of Deputies' Committee on Culture, Science, and Education. The symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony will be attended by renowned art critic and consultant to the Italian Art Encyclopedia, Professor Alberto Moioli, who, with his experience and passion, offers a profound reflection on the essence of contemporary art and its ability to convey emotion. During the inauguration, artist Giuseppe Zingaretti will be awarded the title of Honorary Member and the Lifetime Achievement Award for his extraordinary contribution to the Association and the art world. Walking along this picturesque street, visitors are greeted by a succession of artworks that tell stories, emotions, and experiences. They can be admired on classic, historic exhibition stands, consisting of an easel topped with a parasol. Thanks to the collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Vittoria Gallery, the works on display include works by Polish artists Dr. Katarzyna Dyjewska, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw; Anna Jankowicz, MA; Łukasz Jankowicz, MA; Dr. Marcin Jurkiewicz, Dr. Przemysław Klimek; Marcin Kozłowski, MA; Marcin Kozłowski Jr., MA; Professors Grzegorz Mroczkowski, Marcin Kozłowski, Dr. Alina Picazio, Professor Sylwester Piędziejewski, and Professor Piotr Wachowski. Visitors also have the opportunity to engage with the protagonists of this event: all this was made possible thanks to the valuable contribution of Paola Minissale, Vice President of the One Hundred Painters, Private Secretary Maurizio Baiocchini, and Councilors Silvano Fabrizio, Angelo Colazingari, Roberto Fantini, Pino Tersigni, and Maria Cristina Lucidi. The exhibition has received the patronage of the Lazio Region, the Coordination of Initiatives Related to the Day of Remembrance of Rome Capital, the President of the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, the ICAS Parliamentary Intergroup for Culture, Art, and Sport, and the Gigi Proietti Foundation.

The event is supported by the collaboration of Caf Italia Via Val Grana, Vertecchi per l’Arte, Ar.te snc, Ottica La Fege, and Galleria Vittoria.

The Via Margutta exhibition began way back in the autumn of 1953, at the height of the "Dolce Vita," thanks to the spontaneous initiative of several painters who, in the immediate postwar period, came together and decided to breathe life and color into a street that had always been a destination for painters, sculptors, poets, musicians, artisans, and artists in general.
