Julia is the first urban generative Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) created to interact in real time with those who live in, visit or pass through Rome.
Following the first release in March, the second step, which is not just a technological update but a real transformation, significantly expands the existing capabilities and functionalities: artificial intelligence at the service of the city becomes even more powerful, intuitive and comprehensive, confirming Rome as a pioneer in urban digital innovation.
Thanks to increasingly advanced technology and a constantly growing certified information base, Julia becomes even more comprehensive and ready to respond effectively and personally to every user need.
Further updates are planned in the coming months, including the creation of the Julia app, which will make it even more capable of anticipating user needs and providing a more personalised and efficient service.
The main new features of Julia 2.0
- Smart geolocation: You can now share your location directly in WhatsApp, Telegram and Web Chat, receiving contextualised information about everything around you: from the nearest services to nearby events.
- Enhanced understanding: Julia understands your requests better, thanks to an evolution in language and an improvement in communication style, making interaction even more natural and fluid.
- Extended conversational memory: The conversation history has been extended to 7 days, allowing Julia to remember previous interactions and offer more targeted and personalised support, building a continuous dialogue. If the conversation becomes heavy and tangled, you can refresh the chat simply by writing phrases such as “let's change the subject” and return to a fluid conversation.
- New areas of knowledge: The assistant has been enriched with 7 new information domains, including parks and public green spaces, places of worship, real-time updates on cities and mobility, guided and educational tours, sports and leisure, and news.
- Enhancement of existing areas: Julia has also significantly improved the functionality and information assets of existing areas, enriching the offering with valuable information on sharing services, route calculation optimisation, restricted traffic zone timetables, available study rooms, Roma Pass and MIC Card.
- Greater integration: In addition to Google Maps and Bing Maps, Julia now also provides links for route calculation on Apple Maps, ensuring maximum flexibility for iOS users.
- Cutting-edge architecture: With the introduction of three new specialised agents, the new multi-agent architectural model makes Julia more agile and flexible, capable of adapting quickly to technological changes and evolving needs.
- Enhanced intelligence: The transition to the new LLM OpenAI GPT-4.1 model significantly increases reasoning capabilities, while the revision of the System Prompt improves dialogue and disambiguation capabilities.
