The Parish was erected on 11 July 1959.
The territory was taken from the Parishes of St. Andrew, Gran Madre di Dio and St. Francis at Monte Mario. It includes Vigna Clara - Due Pini and part of Camilluccia.
The architectural design is by Alberto Ressa. The Church is circular, with a vast dome, on a modern translation of the ancient Church of S. Stefano Rotondo. The capacity is for 700 worshippers.
Inside, there is a large pictorial cycle by Spanish painter Mariano Villalta Lapayes. There are about sixteen thousand inhabitants.
It is governed by secular clergy.
It has all the parish facilities with various classrooms for catechism and meetings of the many existing associations.
It has an auditorium, called Due Pini, with a capacity of about 350 seats, where a film forum, concerts, debates and other cultural activities take place.
