Church erected in 1952 together with the neighbouring houses of the Santa Barbara Village to a design by Fire Brigade architect Luigi Gherardelli. Connected to the nearby Central Fire Brigade complex, it is dedicated to the saint of Nicomedia, patron saint of firemen, artillerymen, miners and, of course, firemen. The entrance to the church is preceded by a portico with arches on pillars under which the marble statue of the patron saint is preserved, once displayed on the main altar and replaced, during the 2002 renovation work, by a wooden crucifix by sculptor Konrad Perathoner. The interior has a single nave with a trussed roof and a floor of pearl marble from Sicily. Large windows with polychrome stained glass windows depicting eight holy women open on the light-coloured plastered walls with peperino details.Outside, a plaque commemorates the pastoral visit of Pope John Paul II on 26 February 1989.
