Chiesa di San Gregorio VII

Commissioned by Pope Pius XII, the Parish of St. Gregory VII was erected in 1952. Construction of the church began on March 30, 1958, when the foundation stone was laid at the site where the high altar would rise. On April 17 Pope Paul VI bestowed the parish with the title of cardinal. On April 27, 1986, Pope John Paul II visited the parish and met with the youth of the neighborhood. Since October 4, 2015, the parish has been entrusted to the Seraphic Province of St. Francis of the Friars Minor of Umbria.
