Think about it Giacomino!

Think about it Giacomino!, one of Luigi Pirandello's best-known works, is on stage at the Quirino Theater directed by Guglielmo Ferro with Pippo Pattavina.

The comedy, written in 1916, takes up the typical Pirandellian themes that emerge clearly in the work, that is, the existential paradoxes of the individual - hypocrisy, social masks, identity crises - and the consequent dilemmas that arise from sanctions by society.

In fact, in the play, Agostino Toti, a rather elderly and discredited high school teacher in the eyes of pupils and colleagues, feels unable to continue teaching and harbors resentment towards society. To obtain revenge against the State to which he thinks his failure is due, he takes as his wife a very young girl of humble conditions named Lillina who, however, is pregnant by a young man from the village, Giacomino. Despite this, this aspect, which was so serious for the social conventions of the time, did not distract Toti from his purpose, nor did it seem to worry him.
