Happy birthday, Testaccio! Dive into history to relive the atmosphere of Rome in the first century AD and celebrate the 100th birthday of one of the most authentic Rome neighborhoods.
To honor this remarkable achievement, the association Nuova Acropoli invites you to Testaccènto, a historical and cultural journey through the area with environmental redevelopment.
The tour develops through the neighbourhood most iconic streets and squares to the ancient Roman port (Emporium) and, from there, to the Porticus Aemilia (Horrea Galbana) and Via Nicola Zabaglia to arrive at Monte dei Cocci.
From 9 am to 1 pm, about a hundred volunteers from Nuova Acropoli, in collaboration with the associations of the district, will contribute to the ecological and environmental redevelopment of the area with green arrangement and removal of waste.
The departure is at 09.00 from Piazza dell'Emporium to the descent of Lungotevere Aventino going along the river.
The participation, addressed to all age groups, is free and observes the following times: 9:30 am - 11 am - 3:30 pm - 5 pm.

Appuntamento alle ore 9.00 a piazza dell’Emporio da cui si parte per arrivare lungo il fiume presso la discesa di Lungotevere Aventino.
I percorsi si svolgono nei seguenti orari: 9.30 – 11.00 – 15.30 – 17.00 e sono rivolti a tutte le fasce di età.
