The place that Fellini used to call "home", where fundamental pages of cinema history were filmed, is the location of The New Pope, the new series by Paolo Sorrentino.
The Neapolitan director returns to Cinecittà set, originally built for Nanni Moretti's Habemus Papam, to shoot the new season of the fiction that takes place in the Vatican. After the success of The Young Pope, broadcasted in 2016 in 154 countries, the protagonist Jude Law was nominated as "Best Actor" for the Golden Globe in the category Mini-Series or Film for television.
An impressive reconstruction of some symbolic places of the Holy See: from the Sistine Chapel and the Cosmatesque floor, from the Saint Peter's Basilica to the Pietà by Michelangelo, interiors and exteriors are faithfully replicated, together with the superb costumes of the colossal production.
