Iniziato il restauro Fendi della Fontana del Mosè

Restauro Fendi Fontana del Mosè
from 3 August 2019 to 31 December 2019

The Fendi Maison's commitment to the city's artistic beauty is continuing successfully with the Fendi for Fountains’ project.
In August, the restoration works have begun on the Fountain of Moses, in Largo Santa Susanna, a few meters from Piazza della Repubblica. They include the removal of limestone deposits, stucco integrations and tanks waterproofing.

The fountain, commissioned by Pope Sixtus V between 1585 and 1589 and designed by the architect Giovanni Fontana, was used to supply water to the upper districts of the city, making it necessary to build the Felice aqueduct, which is its terminal point.

Three other fountains  have been already restored by the haute couture house: the Mostra dell’Acqua Paola on the Gianicolo hill, the Trevi Fountain and the Peschiera Fountain.
