The Nuvola at the Eur district is hosting the new season of ‘Dialoghi Sinfonici’, a series conceived by EICO – Europa InCanto Orchestra and conducted by Maestro Germano Neri. From 4 October 2026 to 14 March 2027, five interactive concerts will be dedicated to Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky and Mendelssohn, with a final event exploring the relationship between music and dance.
The new season, entitled ‘Dietro l’ascolto’ (Behind the Listening), explores the various elements that contribute to the composition and interpretation of a musical work. The programme explores the relationship between composition, performance and listening, and offers tools to better understand the language of symphonic music.
The conductor engages directly with the audience, explaining the characteristics of the compositions, interpretative choices and the elements that contribute to the performance’s outcome. This narrative accompanies the listening experience, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural contexts in which the works were created.
The programme features some of the leading figures of the symphonic repertoire. On Sunday 4 October 2026 at 11.00 am, the season opens with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67. 13 December is dedicated to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and the theme of the ‘modern tradition’. On 10 January 2027, Modest Mussorgsky takes centre stage with Pictures at an Exhibition, whilst on 14 February the spotlight is on Felix Mendelssohn, with his Symphony No. 4 ‘Italian’ and selections from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The season concludes on 14 March 2027 with Il suono dei gesti (The Sound of Gestures), an event organised in collaboration with CRDL LAB and dedicated to the relationship between music and dance. This event expands on the ‘Dietro l’ascolto’ programme by also introducing the dimension of movement and gesture as tools of interpretation.
