The church of Santa Maria Goretti was built in 1954 by architect Tullio Rossi and consecrated by Monsignor Luigi Traglia on 15 May 1954.
Externally it is brick-coloured; the façade is marked by eight vertical strips that intersect three other horizontal ones, so as to form eighteen squares; in two of these, the largest, are the entrance portal and a large window (rose window), within which is inserted a cross and the symbols of the four evangelists.
The coat of arms of Pope Pius XII closes the façade at the top, where the inion: D.O.M. In hon. B. Mariae Goretti V. M. A.D. MCMLIII. The interior has a single nave, with an apse. In this is a fresco by Luigi Montanarini.
The church has been a parish seat since 1 June 1953 by decree In suburbana regione of Cardinal Vicar Clemente Micara.
