Dedicated to mobility in all its forms, WAVE - Smart Mobility is a communication project that uses traditional and digital channels to address multiple stakeholders, with a quarterly magazine, a constant presence on social media, round tables and an annual convention to take stock of the transformation of infrastructures, vehicles and services in a sustainable, technological and digital key.
The third edition of the event, entitled “The New Roads of Mobility between Sky, Land and Sea”, was held this year on 21 November at the Ara Pacis Auditorium, with speakers and the public attending both in person and via live streaming on the media partners’ channels. The event was sponsored by the European Commission - Italian Representation, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Municipality of Rome - Department of Mobility.
Italian and European institutions, start-ups, associations and stakeholders in the mobility sector discussed three macro-areas: mobility by land (with a focus on the crucial issue of the electric car), by air and by sea. Among the open challenges and innovative and sustainable solutions that are revolutionizing habits, the economy and the mobility industry, the speakers addressed numerous topics: Italian mobility, the evolution of urban areas and new forms of mobility, the decarbonization of air transport; the economy of the sea, infrastructure and intermodality. Speakers included Mario Alovisi of Trenitalia, Ivan Bassato of Aeroporti di Roma, Pasquale Ciacciarelli (Councillor for Urban Planning, Housing Policies, Housing, Sea Policies Lazio Region), Eugenio Patanè (Councillor for Mobility Municipality of Rome), Marco Santucci of Jaguar Land Rover Italia.
